Four Floyd County teachers have been accepted into the KY Super Stars Leadership Academy, a new initiative from the Governor’s Office for Early Childhood. The teachers accepted are Tammy Gearheart and Elizabeth Isaac from South Floyd Elementary, Ashley Fite from May Valley Elementary, and April Borowski from Betsy Layne Elementary. The KY Super Stars Leadership Academy includes workshops, resources, and networking to help meet professional goals and improve their craft. The six-month program is at no cost to teachers or the Floyd County School District. Teachers will have personal mentors in addition to regional and state training sessions to help improve instruction.
