Bell County Deputy Patrick Brooks responded to an accident on Highway 92 the afternoon of May 19. Upon arrival, a silver four-door Chrysler sedan was found on its top in the roadway after striking a rock and concrete mailbox, causing it to overturn. The driver, Stacey Keck, 20, and passenger, Tylan Sosnin, 21, both of Pineville, were out of the vehicle and determined to be under the influence. Keck began assaulting the officer when he attempted to arrest her, while Sosnin yelled and cursed at first responders. Both were transported to the Bell County Detention Center.
