A Kentucky woman was stopped by the Transportation Security Administration at the Huntington Tri-State Airport on Monday, May 29, when TSA officers detected a loaded .22 caliber handgun in one of the woman’s carry-on bags. The woman, a resident of Martin in Floyd County, said she forgot the gun was with her. Huntington Tri-State Airport Police were contacted and took possession of the firearm, giving the woman a citation on a state weapons charge. There was no impact to airport operations.
