The Floyd County Board of Education is congratulating Floyd Central High School student Cole DeRossett as being a Class of 2017 Rogers Scholar graduate. DeRossett completed the Rogers Scholar summer leadership program. He was one of only 62 students from Southern and Eastern Kentucky to be invited to attend the program at Lindsay Wilson College. DeRossett said the Rogers Scholars program was one of the best educational programs he has been involved in as a student. In addition to being a Rogers Scholar, the Floyd Central High School junior is also a member of the Floyd County Early College Academy.
