Laurel County Woman Arrested Following Domestic Violence Complaint

Laurel County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a complaint of an out of control female subject armed with a knife creating a disturbance off Topton Road around 10:52 am Wednesday, September 6. Upon arrival, deputies learned the female, Heather Roark, 38, had allegedly held a knife to her mother’s throat, threatening to kill her, and threw a cast-iron skillet at her father. When arrested, Roark created a disturbance and had to be placed in the police car, where she kicked the protective screen, screamed, and cursed at the deputies on the scene. She was charged with assault, domestic violence, disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, and menacing.
