Ky 1811 in Letcher County will be closed to all traffic at mile point one Wednesday, September 20, and Thursday, September 21, for replacement of a failed culvert that runs underneath the pavement. Highway District 12 Superintendent Billy Smallwood said the work will begin after school starts on Wednesday. The road will re-open Friday morning before school starts, after the concrete has had time to dry. Smallwood said building a new culvert will increase flow and widen the shoulder of the road on each side, which should stop flooding on this section of roadway.
