Floyd County Schools Superintendent Steve Trimble congratulates Floyd Central High, Prestonsburg High and South Floyd Elementary students who performed in the KMEA All District Choir on September 28, 2017 at Belfry High School. Students from 11 counties were eligible to participate with this being the first year for a middle school all district choir. Floyd County Schools’ music teachers Ricky Wells, Greta Gilbert, and Walter Ord attended with their students. Superintendent Trimble said Floyd County Schools has some very talented kids and he and the board team were happy to see them participating in competition and performing for different audiences. He added that these experiences can strengthen their talents.
