A power outage occurred in Johnson County on Thursday, January 4, 2018. Reports of the outage began around 6:30pm. The outage was a result of a single vehicle accident involving a utility pole on Euclid Avenue in Paintsville. Over 1,000 residents in Johnson County were without power following the crash. Power was able to be restored to most of the residents. The driver of the vehicle was taken to Paul B. Hall Medical Center in Paintsville for treatment.
