A water emergency has been declared in the city of Hazard due to the cold weather conditions. The emergency was declared by City Manager Carlos Combs. The City Manager has declared the sue of water be restricted for non-emergency purposes, such as ornamental, washing automobiles and paved surfaces.  As soon as possible, a special meeting of the City Commission will be convened to consider ratification or modification of the conservation measures imposed.
