With the possibility of winter weather moving into the Eastern Kentucky region over the weekend, Kentucky State Police is cautioning motorists to be prepared for hazardous driving conditions. Before traveling, motorists should check road and weather conditions, reduce speed in wintery conditions, leave early to allow more travel time, dress warmly, keep a blanket in the vehicle, ensure your vehicle has a full tank of gas, and charge cell phones prior to departure. KSP also asks travelers to observe for stranded motorists and if they see or suspect someone is stranded to contact Kentucky State Police at 1-800-222-5555.
