Governor Bevin Announces Launch of New Website to Assist in Finding Substance Abuse Treatment Centers

As part of the “Don’t Let Them Die” campaign, Governor Matt Bevin announced on Friday, February 2, 2018, the launch of a FindHelpNowKY.org. The website will allow users to search for local substance use disorder treatment centers in their area. Users can locate facilities based on geographic location, facility type, and type of treatment needed. The search results will also identify facilities with current openings for patients. Dr. Terry Bunn, director of the Kentucky Injury Prevention and Research Center, said the near real-time availability of substance abuse disorder treatment openings will significantly reduce the time spent by the public, healthcare providers, and other healthcare professionals searching for openings by matching available treatment with individual needs.
