On Friday, February 2, 2018, Knox County Deputy Claude Hudson was contacted by the victim of an ATV theft. The ATV had been sold to a metal scrap yard in Gray. The victim identified a witness that had transported it to the scrap yard. Through investigation, Deputy Hudson identified the suspect as 19-year-old Jonathan Bargo of Cannon. While attempting to locate the suspect, he was observed riding as a passenger inside a vehicle on Miller Town Road. While conducting a traffic stop, Bargo fled the vehicle into a wooded area. The suspect was located at a residence on Miller Road near the Whitley County line on Monday, February 5, 2018. Bargo was arrested and charged with theft, resisting arrest, wanton endangerment and fleeing police. He was lodged in the Knox County Detention Center.
