Laurel County Student Arrested Following Shooting Threats

On Saturday, February 17, 2018, around 1:45pm, Kentucky State Police Post 11, London received a call about a social media post threatening North Laurel Middle School in Laurel County. Preliminary investigation indicates that a 14-year-old male who attends North Laurel Middle School sent a message to another student threatening to shoot up the school. The juvenile was located several hours later, arrested, and lodged in the Breathitt County Juvenile Detention Center on the charge of Terroristic Threatening. Trooper Michael Howell is continuing the investigation.
