Kentucky in Top Ten Cheapest Places to Live

The Massachusetts Institute of Technology has released their most recent Living Wage data, which calculates the cost for a family to maintain standards of living throughout the country. Factors used to determine this information include cost of food, child care, medical, housing, transportation, taxes and other personal necessities. Kentucky ranked as the ninth cheapest state in Kentucky to live, with an average living wage needed for a family being $50,759, average housing cost at $8,620 and the average cost of child care as $6,363.
