Knox County Man Arrested After Domestic Violence Complaint

On Wednesday, May 2, 2018, around midnight, Knox County Deputies Mikey Ashurst and Andrew Lawson responded to a domestic violence complaint in progress at a residence on Guinn Loop in Gray. The caller advised her husband was drunk and assaulting her son. When deputies arrived at the scene, they met the caller outside, who advised her husband, Phillip Gamino, was armed and dangerous. The deputies observed red marks on the son’s throat, allegedly from being choked. Gamino fled the residence and into the mountains. After a lengthy search, deputies located and arrested 38-year-old Phillip Gamino and charged him with assault, alcohol intoxication, fleeing, terroristic threatening and resisting arrest. He was lodged in the Knox County Detention Center.
