South Laurel High School graduate Tucker Martin has been accepted in the United State Military Academy at West Point after receiving a congressional nomination from US Representative Hal Rogers. In a statement, Rogers said Martin one of only four individuals in Kentucky’s Fifth Congressional District to receive his nomination and acceptance into the military academy. He added that Martin was highly recommended by his teachers and community leaders for his success in academics and athletics, as well as his passion for serving others. Martin graduated fourth in his class from South Laurel High School in 2017. He will become one of the US Military Academy’s newest cadets at West Point as part of the class of 2022.
