Kentucky State Police investigators are searching for a man who robbed a bank in Leslie County the afternoon of Monday, May 21, 2018. KSP Post 13 received a call from Hyden Citizens Bank shortly before 1pm advising that a branch bank had been robbed. Troopers and detectives responded to the Hyden Citizens Bank location in the Hurts Creek Shopping Center off old KY 80 in Hyden. Upon arrival, investigators determined an unidentified man walked in the bank and presented a note to the teller demanding money. The teller complied and gave the an undisclosed amount of money to the man, who exited the bank and was last seen walking across the parking lot of the shopping center. The perpetrator is described as a white male between 5’6” and 5’10” tall, weighing about 150 pounds. He was last seen wearing a dark ball cap, long sleeved navy blue sweat shirt and light blue colored jeans. Witnesses advised he was wearing sun glasses and had scruffy-looking facial hair that appeared to be a mix of dark and white hair. Anyone with information is urged to call KSP Post 13 at 606-435-6069.
