Kentucky State Police Pikeville Post 9 are investigating a shooting that occurred in the Peter Fork community of McCarr on Thursday, June 14, 2018. Around noon, Post 9 received a call advising a shooting had occurred and the victim was being transported to the hospital in a private vehicle. Upon arrival of Troopers and Detectives, it was discovered the victim, identified as Kevin Adkins, had been shot by his brother, David. Motive for the shooting is unclear at this time. David Adkins was arrested on several unrelated charges and will also be charged with assault.
