The afternoon of Friday, July 6, 2018, the Laurel County Sheriff’s office made an arrest a charge off US 25. The arrest occurred after deputies arrived at the scene of a complaint of a disturbance at a church parking lot. When deputies arrived at the scene and located the subject, identified as 34-year-old Steve Napier of Rich Pond, it was learned that he allegedly attempted to gain entry to parked vehicles and the church building there. The suspect was determined to be under the influence and admitted to snorting meth earlier. Napier was charged with public intoxication and disorderly conduct. He was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
