On Sunday, July 29, 2018, around 10:15am, Kentucky State Police Post 11 London received a call from Baptist Health Hospital in Corbin about a 16-year-old juvenile that had been assaulted during an altercation and was under the influence of drugs and alcohol. Hospital staff advised dispatch that the assault had taken place at a motel in the Corbin community of Laurel County. Trooper Jack Riley responded to the hospital and conducted an investigation, which indicated two juveniles had stayed in a room with four adults at the motel the night before and given drugs and alcohol. Police arrested Alberto Quintanilla, 20, of Lehigh Acres, FL; Michael Jaramillo, 20, of Edinburg, TX; Daniel Olivarez, 25, of Highland, MI; and Whitney Napier, 21, of Corbin. All four were charged with unlawful transaction with a minor and lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
