On Wednesday, October 10, 2018, the Laurel County Sheriff’s Office made a drug arrest while conducting a welfare check at a residence off Littontown Road. While there, deputies located a subject, identified as 35-year-old Samuel Cassise of East Bernstadt, in possession of suspected methamphetamine, marijuana, and a glass pipe. Cassise was charged with possession of controlled substance and paraphernalia. Additionally, he was charged with a Laurel District Court bench warrant. He was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
