On Friday, November 2, 2018, Prestonsburg Police officers responded to the Quality Inn in Prestonsburg on a tip of illegal drug trafficking. Following an investigation, officers detained Kyle Gearheart, of Lexington, Kesong Lee, and Lartrell Iverson, both of Detroit, on their suspected involvement of distributing illegal drugs in Prestonsburg. A large quantity of suspected black tar heroin and powder heroin were located in the water tank of a coffee pot. The suspects were lodged in the Floyd County Detention Center.
