Flatwoods Woman Sentenced for Conspiracy to Distribute Fentanyl

On Tuesday, November 13, 2018, United States District Judge David Bunning sentenced 25-year-old Haley Nicole Young, of Flatwoods, to 24 months in federal prison for conspiracy to distribute fentanyl. In April 2017, Young was arrested in Ashland and found in possession of 209 grams of fentanyl. Young admitted to the transportation of the fentanyl from Detroit, Michigan. The recovered fentanyl was to be distributed in Kentucky and West Virginia. Young must serve 85 percent of her prison sentence and will be under the supervision of the United State Probation Office for four years upon release.
