The Kentucky Workforce Innovation Board and Department of Workforce Investment are seeking public comments through February 25, 2019 from consumers and workforce stakeholders on proposed changes to the Workforce Investment and Opportunity Act State Plan for the Commonwealth of Kentucky Fiscal Year 2018. The modifications result from the reorganization and transfer of Kentucky Adult Education from the Council on Postsecondary Education to the Education and Workforce Development Cabinet. The four-year state plan represents an agreement among the core partners identified in the Act and serves as the framework for the development of public policy, fiscal investment, and operation of Kentucky’s labor exchange, workforce education, and training programs. Public comment on the modifications should be submitted during the 20-day period which ends at 4pm eastern time on February 25, 2019.
