University of Pikeville’s Academic and Cultural Enrichment Peer tutoring program recently received International Tutor Training Program Certification from College Reading and Learning Association. CRLA provides national certification for tutoring and mentoring programs. The ACE program at UPIKE serves as a valuable resource on campus for student support. In addition to providing academic tutoring and helping students develop study skills, the program also prepares students for life after graduation with interview training, resume writing and post-graduation planning services. Certification for peer tutoring helps the program set professional standards for skills and training with participating students.
