Highway District 12 to Change Traffic Signals at KY 321 Intersection Near Walmart in Paintsville Rescheduled

Update: Work on traffic signals on KY 321 in Paintsville has been rescheduled. The work to change traffic signals at the Walmart/Lowe’s intersection in Paintsville to a “split phasing” signal that was originally scheduled for Thursday, March 21, 2019, has been postponed. The work has been rescheduled for the week of April 15 through 19. This reschedule is weather permitting.

Original Story: The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet Highway District 12’s signal crew plans to change traffic signals at the KY 321 intersection at Walmart and Lowe’s in Paintsville on Thursday, March 21, 2019. Keith Coleman, Signal Crew Superintendent, said the split phasing traffic sequence will mean drivers will not have to yield on a green light at the side line. This work will not affect traffic on the main line of KY 321. Brief traffic interruptions are necessary to program and test signal changes. In the event of rain, snow, or other precipitation, work will be rescheduled for the first dry day available.
