According to the monthly report from the Kentucky Center for Statistics, unemployment rates fell in 108 Kentucky Counties between February 2018 and February 2019, rose in 7, and stayed the same in 5 counties. Woodford County recorded the lowest jobless rate in the commonwealth at 3 percent, followed by Fayette County at 3.2 percent. Magoffin County recorded the state’s highest unemployment rate at 13.3 percent, with Wolfe County at 8.1 percent, Elliot County recording 8 percent, and Lawrence County recording 7.2 percent.
