Kentucky’s seasonally adjusted preliminary March 2019 unemployment rate was 4 percent, according to the Kentucky Center for Statistics, an agency within the Kentucky Education and Workforce Development Cabinet. The unemployment rate was down from the 4.1 percent reported for February 2019. The preliminary March 2019 jobless rate was down 0.3 percentage points from the 4.3 percent recorded for the state in March 2018. The U.S. Seasonally adjusted jobless rate for March 2019 was 3.8 percent, unchanged from its February 201 level, according to the U.S. Department of Labor.
