Department of Fish and Wildlife Holding Public Forum in Hazard

The Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources will be holding public forums about chronic wasting disease, a widespread and fatal brain disease affecting the deer family. Chris Garland, acting Wildlife Division director for Kentucky Fish and Wildlife, said that while the disease has not been detected in Kentucky, it is at our doorstep and these forums help raise awareness about ongoing efforts to monitor the disease. The department will hold a forum Thursday, May 23, 2019 at the Perry County Public Library located at 289 Black Fold Boulevard in Hazard.
