The Kentucky State Police Post 8 in Morehead was notified of an injury collision around 12:56am Thursday, May 2, 2019. The collision occurred on KY 15 South in Wolfe County, where investigation determined that 54-year-old Sheila Couch of Wooton was operating a 2017 Chevrolet City Express Van traveling northbound, crossing a median, and striking a 2017 Chevrolet Spark operated by 42-year-old Lonnie Harvey Jr of Jackson. Harvey was pronounced deceased at Kentucky River Medical Center in Jackson by Breathitt County Coroner Hargus Epperson. Couch was transported was also transported to Kentucky River Medical Center before being transferred to the University of Kentucky Medical Center, where she is listed in stable condition. The collision remains under investigation.
