The Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office reports a stabbing occurred at Pulaski County High School on Wednesday, May 1, 2019. The altercation occurred around 1pm between two male students in the boy’s restroom. The incident was reportedly over the alleged perpetrator being refused the victim’s tobacco dip, leading to the stabbing. Students were secured in the classroom while the incident was brought under control. The student that allegedly conducted the stabbing was taken into custody by the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office School Resource Officer, Deputy Alex Wesley, and was charged with assault. The victim was airlifted to the University of Kentucky Hospital for treatment of injuries.
