On Wednesday, May 8, 2019, from 10am to 1pm, first responders will be taking part in a Tornado Mock Disaster with Highlands Regional Medical Center, Auxier Fire Department, Floyd County Rescue Squad, Big Sandy Health Care, Middle Creek Fire Department, as well as other groups and offices. We spoke Judy Greer of the Auxier Fire Department to find out more about this exercise.

Citizens will see fire trucks, ambulances, and other emergency vehicles on KY RT 321 into Auxier, with participants made up to appear as walking wounded. Citizens are once again reminded that this is a mock disaster exercise.
