Long delays are expected in Lawrence County as repair work begins on KY 201. The work zone will begin at mile point 7.950 beginning at 8am. The long delays will continue from 8am until 7pm each day until the work is finished. Tim Spencer, District 12 Engineer at the Paintsville Section Office, said the work should take about a week if there are no unforeseen difficulties. School traffic will be let through in the morning and afternoons, with accommodations made for first responders. Motorists may seek alternate routes to avoid delays.
