
Governor Matt Bevin announced on Wednesday during a special meeting at the Country Music Highway Museum in Paintsville that the city and county will receive funding for area pavement improvements.
The city of Paintsville will receive $197,788 and Johnson County will receive $378,041.
Resurfacing work will address:
-Second Street (City Street 1071) — a distance of 0.45 miles
-Sixth Street (City Street 1029) — a distance of 0.69 miles
-Southside Drive (City Street 1046) — a distance of 4,515 feet
-Blanton Branch Road (County Road 1378) — a distance of 1 mile
-Buttermilk Branch Road (County Road 1123) — a distance of 1.55 miles
-Whippoorwill Road (County Road 1003) — a distance of 1.79 miles
-Bob’s Branch Road (County Road 1112) — a distance of 1.07miles
-Butcher Hollow Road (County Road 1138) — a distance of 1.10 miles
