A Northern Kentucky woman has been charged in connection with the death of a 1-year-old boy in Campbell County.

According to the Dayton Police Department, officers responded to 401 5th Avenue in Dayton, Kentucky on Aug. 16 after receiving a report that a 1-year-old was not breathing. The child was taken to Cincinnati Children’s Hospital where he later died, police said.

Following a weeks-long investigation, police arrested Stacey Schuchart. She faces manslaughter charges in the death of the child.

Schuchart will be arraigned next week at the Campbell County Courthouse.
