Knox County Sherrif’s Department Arrest Fugitives from Mississippi

The Knox County Sheriff’s Department got a tip that two fugitives wanted out of Mississippi on felony charges were staying in the Girdler area.

Mississippi police say Joelrod Huges, 30, assaulted someone and Tessa Emmons possessed and discharged a firearm at a person.

Police verified the car, a blue Chrysler 200, Huges and Emmons traveled in was at a home in the Girdler community in Knox County.

Officials arrested Huges and Emmons. Police found the firearm used in the crime in Mississippi.

That along with the car were seized.

Both are in the Knox County jail awaiting extradition.
