Update: Body found in Jackson County identified as missing man

A body was found in an isolated area of Jackson County.

Jackson County coroner said the body was located at the bottom of a cliff off Rock Lick Creek Road.

 There is no word on the nature of the death, or if foul play is suspected however, Kentucky State Police have been on scene and additional detectives are also working on the case.

Kentucky State Police identified the body found in Jackson County Sunday.

Police said the body was 54-year-old Joseph Issacs of McKee.

Issacs was reported missing Nov. 2. His body was found off Rock Lick Road.

An autopsy was performed Monday morning at the State Medical Examiner’s Office in Frankfort. The cause of death has not been released yet.
