The Bell County Sheriff’s Department arrested a man accused of cutting down someone else’s trees.

Deputies said 56-year-old Jerome Baker of Frakes is charged with first-degree criminal mischief.

Baker is accused of going onto someone else’s property between late summer and early October of this year.

Deputies said he intentionally defaced, destroyed or damaged more than 60 white and red oak trees using a chainsaw.
