IHeart Radio asked Matt Jones to not host Kentucky Sports Radio for the time being following a complaint filed by the Republican Party of Kentucky.

The GOP complaint wants an investigation into Jones allegedly using the statewide radio show to promote himself as a candidate against U.S. Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell. 

He calls the complaint “absolute nonsense, though he understands the company’s decision.” Jones said he will take the time off to make his decision whether to run and finish his book, titled “Mitch, Please”. He said he hopes to return to KSR in the future if he decides not to run for office.
