Deputies say a man held a woman against her will at a home in Laurel County.
Early Wednesday afternoon, deputies say a woman showed up at a Walmart in the southern end of the county asking employees for help.
She told law enforcement officials she had been held against her will for one week and assaulted by a man. They say she also had blackened eyes and marks all over her body.
Deputies arrested Elmo Carrol, 35, of Corbin after a brief struggle.
They charged him with second-degree unlawful imprisonment, fourth-degree, assault and resisting arrest.
