In Louisville, one person is dead after being shot inside a small grocery store in the Russell neighborhood.

The shooting was reported just before noon in the area of 1801 West Broadway, which is the address of the 18th Street Deli & Grocery.

Louisville police said a store employee and another person got into some sort of altercation. The store employee then shot that person.

The shooter has been detained and is talking to police.
