Deputies arrested Jeffrey S. Dixon, 31, of Blackey, Kentucky.

Deputies were called to a complaint of a man allegedly attempting to steal a vehicle from someone’s home and was being held at gunpoint by the victim.

When they confronted Dixon he became extremely agitated- cursing, telling one Deputy repeatedly to shoot him and refused to cooperate with the Deputy’s commands to remove his hands from a large coat he had on. Deputies eventually were able to gain control of the situation.

Jeffrey S. Dixon was charged with attempted theft of auto, criminal trespassing, menacing, resisting arrest and public intoxication. Dixon was sent to the Laurel County correctional center.
