Olivene Burns, of Jackson, Michigan, passed away Monday, November 18, 2019 at Henry Ford Allegiance Health in Jackson, surrounded by loved ones. She was born January 22, 1929 in Chattaroy, West Virginia, the daughter of Harvey M. and Essie (Blackburn) Preece.

The family will receive friends for visitation at the Hampton Funeral Home in Jackson, MI on Friday, November 22nd from 3 PM to 6 P.M. At her request, she will then be brought back to her hometown and there will be a visitation at Crum Funeral Home in Inez, KY on Sunday, November 24, 2019 from 6 PM to 9 PM. Funeral services will be held on Monday at 11 AM in the chapel of the funeral home. Burial will follow at the Preece Cemetery in Inez
