Officials from the Laurel County Sheriff’s Office said deputies arrested a woman from Georgia.

Deputies responded to a single-vehicle crash involving a silver Nissan.

As deputies investigated the scene, they found the driver of the car, 33-year-old Jessica Melancon, under the influence.

Officials said Melancon had multiple empty alcoholic beverage containers in the car, and admitted to using heroine three hours earlier.
