The Knox County Sheriff’s Department said they responded to an accident that occurred on Highway 25E northbound near the intersection with Highway 11 outside of Barbourville, involving a Chevy Suburban which collided with a JB Hunt tractor-trailer.
Before emergency services arrived a group from the Department of Corrections arrived and administered first aid to those injured.

While no one was cited at the scene, the Knox County Sheriff’s Office is continuing to investigate the crash.
