First responders were on the scene of a single-vehicle crash in Knox County.

 

The crash happened Thursday afternoon on Highway 25E in the Flat Lick community, near the Bell County line.

 

Kentucky State Police said a white pickup truck flipped onto the median.

 

The driver, 61-year-old Daniel Patterson, was killed in the crash.

 

Police are investigating the cause.

 

“There’s a lot of factors that go into a collision such as this,” said Trooper Shane Jacobs. “So we’re here to investigate, to figure out why that vehicle dropped off the roadway. Whether it was some kind of distraction, it could be anything.”

 

They said Patterson was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from the truck.
