A Leslie County man is facing a host of charges after police found a homemade explosive in his home.
Deputies with the Leslie County Sheriff’s Office, Kentucky State Police, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms and the FBI went to a home on Upper Grassy Branch Road and found a small homemade explosive and materials that could be used to make others.
Law enforcement did not find the suspect, Kevin Peterson, at first, but later found him hiding in a hole cut out of the wall behind a cook stove in the home.
When officers asked him to come out of the hiding spot, he refused and they ended up using a KSP K-9 to bring him out.
He is charged with resisting arrest, wanton endangerment, assault, terroristic threatening and unlawful imprisonment.
