The Knox county sheriff’s office responded to a domestic violence complaint.

After arriving on the scene, deputies learned 39-year-old Christopher Stoots left the home on foot, taking a 3-year-old girl with him in the pouring rain. The girl was reportedly not wearing a coat at the time.

While searching the woods, the deputy found the toddler alone and soaked due to the heavy rain.

The deputy located Stoots in the woods and struggled with him briefly before arresting him.
