Along a strip job, someone shot and killed at least 15 horses.

The strip job site is near the Pike and Floyd County line along US 23. 

Some of the horses shot were only a year old or younger and some were pregnant.

Rescue groups at the site say it looked as if the horses were hunted and Law enforcement said they were probably shot with a low caliber rifle.

At a minimum, the person involved could face animal cruelty charges.
