Emergency crews rescued a man who was stuck on top of his vehicle in high water.

Crews were called to Waterworks Road near Ellis Park after getting reports that a man was standing on a van in floodwater.

According to Henderson County Sheriff’s deputies, three people were in the van, but two of them got out and took off. The one that stayed, Joseph Cox, was arrested after being rescued  because he had warrants for his arrest.

There is no word on Cox ended up in the high water.
